DOTTIE GORACKE

Born and raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa, Dottie graduated nursing school in Racine, Wisconsin and then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she worked for 5 years at the University Hospital's intensive care unit.  From there it was off to Denver, Colorado to set up a pediatric unit.  She then decided to make a career change and served as a programmer/systems analyst for Denver General Hospital.  It was during this time she met and married Jack (who worked for IBM) and they had two sons.  While her boys were young, Dottie worked part-time teaching babies to swim.

Jack eventually was transferred to Research Triangle Park.  While searching for a home to purchase, Dottie informed her agent that in order to purchase a house, the agent would have to give her a job.  To this the agent replied, "Why don't you take the class in real estate?"  Since Dottie didn't have anything better to do and knew no one in the area, she thought it would be a good idea.

It certainly was a good idea and transitioning to real estate was easy.  With a background in nursing, "taking care of people" was what mattered most to her.  And 28 years later, Dottie is still in the business of assisting buyers and sellers in successful transactions.  She takes pride in her knowledge of the real estate market and works diligently to insure total client satisfaction.  Her aggressive marketing plans along with personal commitment to all her clients provide a steady stream of referral business.  These are the things that offer the experience, education and excellence that her team is noted for.

Dottie is an avid sports enthusiast, loves reading, listening to music, the Performing Arts, and her many church activities.  But most of all, Dottie's heart belongs to her grandchildren, Kathryn ("Kate") Grace, Colin, Jack and Hayden.

Dottie and her husband reside in Cary where she actively pursues assisting clients and friends in their search for their dream home.
